  • issue with brooklyn update

    I have the same issue. I downloaded the theme yesterday directly from theme forest website. I put the license key and then say to download the new version

    It says : There is a new version of Brooklyn available. View version 4.9.4.1 details or update now.

    Hello i have just purchased the theme but when uploading it says Unpacking the package…
    Installing the theme…

    The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
    Theme installation failed.

    I wanted to do this but I can't find the menu for "Licensing".

    I tried this first but on the Brooklyn dashboard, the main menus are only Theme Options, Server Health, and Theme Demos. I would like to update from 4.2.5 to the latest 4.9 version. Is it too far of a jump? Would I need to put my website on maintenance mode for this? Also, can I do this without renewing my support or do I need to? (I actually would like to renew the support because I want to update the website this year.)

    we would like update our Brooklyn Version 4.7.3.1 to 4.9.4.1.
    So we have the same problems like "vhicf". There is no "licensing" in our menu to update. Please help us fast.

    in this case you need to update manually first.

    the easiest way to update the theme via FTP:
    1. log in to themeforest
    2. go to your downloads section
    3. download all files ( you will automatically get the most recent version )
    4. unzip
    5. upload the "brooklyn" folder into the following folder on your FTP server wp-content/themes
    6. after you have uploaded the entire folder the theme itself is up to date
    7. go to "Appearance" -> "Install Plugins" and hover each plugin name , if a link appears which is called "update" hit this link to update the plugin

  • We have recently had a client switch our server, his previous server was not very helpful. We have a php issue when we switch to 7.4.. the site goes off line with errors. I can't find where to update the template for Brooklyn.. also can't see his licence anywhere. can you guys please point me in the right direction? I am being charged for an older php version support so want to get this sorted ASAP. Thanks Tom.

    what the URL of the website? So we can check if a license has been used.

    Other than that, the license can only be found on the themeforest account who has purchased the theme.
