Using portfolio showcase as a image gallery

Hello,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently using the Brooklyn theme for my website and I have a specific requirement regarding the image gallery. I am utilizing the showcase feature of the UT Portfolio plugin, which offers a great sorting functionality. However, I have encountered an issue where the images are being cropped, and I would prefer them to be scaled down to fit the screen instead. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a way to modify this behavior on my own.

I was wondering if you could kindly assist me in resolving this matter.

Hi Michael,

on the settings screen of the showcase under UT Portfolio - there is an option to activate soft cropping. I recommend to enter a desired width and height here as well.

Thank you for your prompt response. I have noticed the option you mentioned, but I would like to clarify that my pictures consist of a mix of different types, including both portrait orientation and panoramic shots.

Given this scenario, what would you recommend I do?

Hi,

does each of the items on that gallery has to be a single portfolio page?

Bascially using the Packery Showcase is an option here, because you can choose the orientation for each portfolio on the portfolio settings screen. Have you tried that?
